Our Board

Sopnendu Mohanty
Sopnendu Mohanty is the Executive Chairman of Gprnt and Co-Founder and Group CEO of the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN). At GFTN, he leads innovative strategies that drive development and transformation in the financial sector through four operating arms: Forums, Advisory, Platform, and Capital.

He served at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as its first Chief Fintech Officer for nearly a decade, establishing Singapore on the global map as a leading center for innovation in the financial sector and a dynamic hub for fintech development. He continues to advise MAS on technology and innovation.

He currently serves on several boards, including the board of A*STAR, Singapore’s leading public sector agency dedicated to advancing scientific discovery and technological innovation. Before his leadership role in the public sector, he spent nearly two decades at Citigroup. He is credited with developing many public goods, including the notable PayNow, Singapore’s digital public infrastructure for payments. He conceptualized the globally well-known Singapore Fintech Festival and its global network of forums; today, the GFTN forum is the world’s largest convenor of tech, policymakers, and the financial sector community. Mr. Mohanty has co-authored several patented works in digital finance and received numerous industry accolades. He advises governments and various institutions on policies and implementation strategies for innovation, infrastructure, and ecosystem development in the financial sector.
Lionel Wong
Lionel Wong is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gprnt.  Prior to Gprnt, he was a regulator and policymaker at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for fifteen years, the last three of which were devoted to developing Gprnt in its previous iteration as MAS’ Project Greenprint. He was tasked by the MAS to head Gprnt following its spinoff from the central bank in November 2023.

During his time at the MAS, Lionel also spearheaded the world’s first linkage of two national fast payment systems (PayNow-PromptPay) between Singapore and Thailand, and laid the ground for subsequent linkages with Malaysia, India, and multiple other countries via the Bank of International Settlement’s Project Nexus. He is also an experienced anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing (AML/CFT) supervisor, having led inspection and policymaking units in the MAS, and served as its appointed secondee to the Financial Action Task Force from 2013-2015.  
Carrie Suen
Carrie Suen is the Vice President & Head of Global Affairs and Strategic Development at Ant International, where she is responsible to drive global strategies of Ant’s objectives to bring more open, inclusive and sustainable changes to the ecosystem. Prior to that, Carrie was the Head of International Legal team. Under her leadership, Ant’s International Legal team grew fourfold from 2017-2020, supporting over 100 markets/regions.

Carrie is an advisory board member of Emerging Payments Association Asia and sits on the Financial Stability Board (FSB) Legal, Regulatory and Supervisory industry taskforce to further the G20’s objective in promoting more inclusive cross-border payments landscape.
Taichi Murakami
Taichi Murakami is Managing Director and Deputy Head of Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) for Asia Pacific at MUFG Bank Ltd. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for managing MUFG’s global corporate and investment banking client portfolio and oversees all governance and control aspects of this business across the region.

A 24-year veteran with MUFG, Taichi has accumulated an extensive background in corporate & investment banking across key financial hubs such as London, New York and Singapore. Prior to his current appointment, he was the Managing Director and Head of Aviation, Shipping & Transportation Finance of the bank’s Solution Products Division in Tokyo, a position he held since January 2021. Prior to that, he was the Head of Global Subsidiary Banking Japan in the bank’s GCIB Planning Division.

Taichi also held roles with the Structured Finance Division and ECA Finance and Commodity & Structured Trade Finance in the Asian Investment Banking Division. He then took on a senior role in the same function at the Investment Banking Division for the Americas.

Taichi began his career in 2000 with Sanwa Bank’s Sakai Branch in Osaka, before transferring to the International Credit Division in Tokyo, followed by his first overseas assignment in 2004 in London.

Taichi holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kobe University.
Siritida Panomwowon Na Ayudhya
Siritida's 25-plus years of experience in banking supervision have established her as a prominent policymaker and supervisor at the Bank of Thailand. During her career, she was involved in the launch of significant legislation, including the Deposit Insurance Law, the Payment System Law and setting up the first National Asset Management Company. She also leveraged her expertise as Director of the Corporate Communication Department.

As the Assistant Governor of Payment System Policy and Financial Consumer Protection, she was a driving force behind Thailand's national e-payment project and the Payment Strategy and Landscape. She successfully developed and implemented PromptPay, the nation's real-time retail fund transfer system, and oversaw the creation of a standardized QR code for payments. Currently, the innovative system has been widely adopted and actively used in people’s daily lives. Additionally, she facilitated cross-border payment linkages, including the PromptPay-PayNow connection with Singapore and QR code payments in various ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and Vietnam. Through these initiatives, she helped build the digital infrastructure that fosters Thailand's fintech ecosystem including Blockchain Communities Initiatives, Digital Identification Platform, and the regulatory sandbox for financial innovation testing.
